The Florida Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) Program is staffed by experienced law enforcement professionals. Each of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) seven districts is supported by a dedicated full-time LEL, with program coordination and management handled by the LEL Coordinator. LELs play a crucial role in planning, promoting, and evaluating law enforcement participation in traffic safety initiatives, serving as a vital link between the FDOT Safety Office and Florida's law enforcement community.
