Jim Reiser serves as the Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) for FDOT District 7. He retired as a Sergeant from the Tampa Police Department (TPD) in 2023 after more than 27 years of service, during which he supervised the Motor Unit and Traffic Homicide Unit. He actively serves on state traffic safety coalitions and Community Traffic Safety Teams (CTSTs) throughout the district and manages the exchange of critical information, including officer training, crash data and trends, checkpoint planning, and legal updates, as well as evaluating law enforcement contributions to traffic safety initiatives, policies, education efforts, and enforcement activities through the Florida Law Enforcement Traffic Safety Challenge.
